If you're talking about the PC/computer game, then it will happen after it gets dark (the sun goes down) and only males get pregnant when they are abducted. It seems to be pretty random then and there's a cool cutscene for it if you have that enabled in your settings (you do have it enabled if you see woohoo scenes and other short movies). You have to be using the large telescope, not the cheaper one.

Mine usually get abducted within the first few minutes that they look in the scope. If they've been looking for hours, it doesn't happen in my game. Sometimes it happens as soon as they peer into the lenses, then POOF, the abduction happens - almost as if they were waiting for him to look!

Mine tend to happen between 1 am and 3 am but others have had much earlier abductions. I actually played the game for about 4 months and never had an abduction then after that it started to happen about 1 time out of ten. Weird.

Don't look in the day time. That's when sims get blamed for being peeping toms and the neighbor comes over and b*tch slaps them silly. :)

well the chances of being abducted "naturally" in the game are extremely rare what I use and recommend which is completely safe is a mod from modthesims2.com the best website and most trusted around ok so here are 2 links I've looked up for you
