Prepaid phones are comign out left and right, and now with cool phones and not just a black and white screen. Id go with Cingular's Go phone over them all. There reception is great just like there service if you were to have an actual plan. All you gotta do is go to the store, pick up the Go phone kit you would like and check out. And if all your doin is buying time for it then theres no other setup or fees to handle. If you want it to come out of your credit card then there might be some handling at the front desk. But thats all it is to it. Virgin Mobile is another popular pre paid phone provider. If your interested in them, go to your nearest Target store and go back to the electronics and look at the different Vigin mobile phones. There not real so you wont be able to play with any, but you'll get a feel for them and read up on there service. Thats all there is to it!

I started off with a prepaid years ago I had T-Mobile I liked it. Here's what ya have to do, go to wal-mart and go where they sell the TVs and stuff and and that's where the phones are, they sometimes come with a card so when you run out of minutes you just go to the store again and the instructions are on the back of the card on how to refill the phone... Note: prepaid can cost a lot refilling it if you are going to use it a lot so think before you get it OK? Good Luck

Yep. Pick a provider. Buy the phone. You can then activate the phone at home or at the store (depends who is selling it), most will give you an activation credit to get started. Then when you need more, you just buy cards or virtual cards (PINs) in stores or via credit card over the phone, or the Internet etc etc etc

Yup, buy the phone, buy the minutes for it (It's like a pre-paid card thing that you enter the pin in to redeem the minutes on your phone), activate your phone.
I used to do the pre-paid thing and Virgin Mobile has some great looking phones and in my opinion has the best rates as far as cents per minute, text costs, etc. But I'm sure other users who answer this might have different opinions so lets see what others thing of different companies!!! :)
