I'd really, really like to work with you and to compromise with you. Working together in brotherhood and in a spirit of compromise is an excellent suggestion. Please, let's try it. But, .............. on one condition. Once our work is done and a compromise has been reached, don't turn into an "ACLU"-type person who then goes to the courts and asks for new-found interpretation of the Constitution because you think your goal is all about "human rights" and that mine isn't. When you trump my views with constitutional law because you didn't want to compromise with me then I feel completely betrayed. And then, remember too, that I might be able to get control of the courts myself and I can then turn the courts against you and trump your laws because I didn't like compromising with you, either.
Rely on majority rule. Compromise. Don't assume that every one of your views are possibly inferred from the U.S. Constitution so that if you can't get what you want from the process of majority rule, then the judges will get it for you instead. Furthermore, be suspicious of the judges. They aren't always trustworthy.

That's a really good question. I asked a similar question about a week ago, and all I got was more Bush bashing and the slamming of the liberals.
I suspect it's at least part of the media's fault. They don't report compromise, similarities in policy voting, or any of the decent bipartisan legislation that gets past - they just keep giving the fringe lunatics all of the press - and that constant barrage of crap coming from both the FAR left and the FAR right is enough to make anyone angry.
Most of it is crap, too. Unlike all republicans are led to believe, most democrats don't want to "cut and run," they just want a policy in Iraq that is a little more successful than the present one. And likewise, most republicans aren't war mongers - they just want a peaceful and SECURE nation.
I suspect a lot of the dribble on this forum is just to see if they can raise an eyebrow or two.

I think you have a great question. It bothers me just as much those pointless debates or arguments. They don't ask the questions to receive answers or to try and learn something new, they are only interested in bashing each other.
I hopped that a platform such as this one would offer people the opportunity to learn from each other and to find out new views they never heard of. Instead, many are more interested in fighting a war on behalf of their political parties ignoring the fact that neither party is interested in serving the people of this country rather, they are more interested in serving their own political agenda and their favorite lobbyists.

Unfortunately, the polarization of politics in this country after the elections of 2000 means that each party attracts to itself an "image" that it feels it must adhere to among the people. Thus both parties are losing ground among moderate, middle of the road voters and thus losing America's power and respect.
Republicans tend to be white, upper or middle class, conservatives, and Democrats tend to embrace environmental issues, liberals, and minorities...not true in ALL cases but, in both parties there has been a great deal of this conformist backtalk and brainwash, "their way or the highway" type of stuff which is, as you said, unfortunate for the political solidarity and future of this nation.

There is a major misconception involved if you take to heart most of the more vocal or obnoxious posters here. What you are reading is the stereotyping and lies and slander usually coming from the far right and far left fractions trying to push their personal agendas while attacking those who don't agree with them.
The truth is neither the far right or far left reflects the political spectrum of the majority of Americans.
I'm sure if you asked most Americans about their Republican or Democratic neighbors, co-workers, friends, etc., you won't hear of this kind of hatred. It comes out of the mouths of a few.

If only we all realized the two party system is all a big mind game the Illuminati is playing with us, deceiving us into believing that we live in a free democracy. There are nothing more than the most trivial of differences between the two parties. There both under the control of the Illuminati.

Obama makes use of the time period czar basically through actuality is the time period that grew to change into into given to them through the media at the same time as FDR first created the positions for the length of his administration. And this time period has been used ever because. interior the U. S. authorities a czar isn't something more desirable sensible than an adviser and bypass-between to diverse organizations. they haven't any quite political skill. It amazes me that you would possibly want to sit down precise right here and bash Obama and make contact with him names basically through actuality he has those czars. yet absolutely everyone of you've been satisfied with the 35 czars that Bush had, or the czars that his father had, Ford had, Reagan had, and so on. yet Obama makes some appointments and all of surprising it truly is innovations that he's attempting to smash this u . s . a ..

Republicans believe in totalitarian rule whereby only republicans are allowed to seek office, and democrats do not wish to be excluded from a government that promises guaranteed rights to its citizens.

behind closed doors in that city thay are all one in the same. dem, rep, are the same. they get a kick out of making the common man think he has a choice of who runs the country. peel them down and they are all about the same thing. they even got togeather and passed a law that bars any third party candiate from ever participating in a presidential debate again. we are going to have to think outside of the two same old boxes that they have built to ever solve anything. both of the parties suck but people are blinded because they think they only have two ways to go. any body ever study the libertarians? some have been elected and are in washington now. listen to them sometime, they make the most sense of any group of people i have heard. chack them out. punch them in on the net and be ready for the real truth.
