The war that keeps on killing
Eli Stephens, Left I on the News

August 21, 2006

Israel has broken the ceasefire once again, killing four Lebanese children and wounding 21 in the last few days. What, you haven't read about it? That's because these deaths were caused by weapons fired before the ceasefire went into effect: cluster bombs. According to the U.N., these weapons, not illegal per se but illegal when fired into urban areas as they were, were fired largely in the last few days of the war, as (and these are my words, not the U.N.'s) Israel lashed out in vengeance to kill as many Lebanese as possible before it was forced to stop its deadly assault, at least temporarily.

Now those unexploded cluster bombs litter the villages of southern Lebanon, just waiting for the small children to pick them up and die, or perhaps just be crippled for life, like Sukna, Hassan and Merwa Saleh.

And, please promise not to be shocked, but the origin of these weapons...is the United States.

And that's not to mention the depleted uranium weapons in use in Iraq, and also Lebanon. Depleted uranium is one of the most toxic substances known. It's half life is something like 4.5 billion years. Traces of it are being found all over the world now.

And why do these supposed American made cluster bombs litter the villages of Southern Lebanon ? Because the "brave" hezbollah terrorists hide behind hospitals, women, and children !
And quit with the phony concern about your children. If you arabs
gave a rats --- about your children you wouldn't strap bombs on them and let them murder in the name of your sick version of religion. " The cancer that keeps on spreading "

I'm not shocked at the origin of these bombs, we invented them! Why aren't you so upset about the missiles that Syria and Iran are providing for Hezbollah, they killed any number of Israelis.

Your reasoning is full of bigotry and hatred and if you are so concerned about the cluster bombs...why don't you volunteer to help removing them?

yeah go away ... why do you people want to keep trying to stir up **** against israel? hezbolla is israels enemy so i hope they do whatever it takes to keep known terrorists and murderers of civilians called hezbolla from striking them. ... and keeps killing? the war isnt over ... there is just a cease fire ... its still open season on any thing that remotely resembles hezbolla agrression and you should be blaming radical islamic militants for ALL civilian deaths on both sides .... your apparent toleration of radical militants suggest you are a murderer of children and women also so why dont you go spout your nonsense somewhere else?

In this country you and I are in the minority on this one. Israel is as murderous to the Arabs as Hitler was to them. Even more so.
America - the hypocrite - sides with them as there is big bucks to be made. And the so-called Christians wish to help God fulfil prophesy!
One day it will all boil over - I feel that day is coming very soon.

I sure don't want you to feel like you live in a terrorist state, so why don't you move to Lebanon and join Hezbollah. See how you like it there.

that's too bad, you know the weapons wouldn't had been there had Hezbollah not kidnapped and murdered Israelis.
