How will you interact with the mortal men and women? Be sure that as a god or goddesses new to Olympia, your character remain consistent with Greek values and beliefs.

I would be the god of... hmm... not making stupid little writing prompts on Answers.

(As you can see I am also the god of sarcasm, as well as wit, humor, and jokes. I am able to strike laughter in the heart of any mortal. My people please me not with any sacrifice, but by performing rituals testing the wit and humor of the people. A people who is merry and prone to laughter attracts my good will. I am able to end wars, this by penetrating the hearts of kings will laughter and revelry, as well as start them, this by beseiging kings with sarcasm and cynicism which stirs up the anger of rival kings. The essence of being is revealed in the Greek writing by their use of wit, irony, comic relief, and humor. The people love me, for in my fits of jubilee, I pour out great blessings and happiness upon the people. However, I am resented by some in Olympia for the cutting comments and jokes I make of the other gods and goddesses. Well that's pretty much me.

Wait... what's that you say? You got me to do your stupid little assigment. Oh pooh, I see that you are the godess of trickery. Oh well, cheerio!)

That is a very challenging question. Actually besides the twelve Olympians there were many more "sub gods" or demigods covering every aspect of life so it is very difficult to find a new god.
But I think that I could take a place as the god of the flying objects. Since there weren't any flying objects back then, I would now have power over anything that flies.
Airplanes, helicopters, balloons, spaceships, missiles etc. Of course I cannot control the weather because other gods do that but I can control the mechanical parts of these objects. So anyone who respects me gets safe passage through the sky and the unworthy go down in flames.
And I do not permit any military flying objects to fly at all, (not even bullets). If the humans want to fight let them do it down in earth holding swords.
In that way at least one can prove his courage and see the blood that he spills. War is part of the human history but mass killing is not human so I forbid it.

Sounds like some body's homework assignment here.
If you consider how many that there were, you have somewhere around 200 beings that were Titans, Gods, Goddesses, nymphs, fates, heroes, monsters, and others.
It would be hard to find an area that didn't have someone assigned to cover it.

If this myth is real, we would probably all be gods and goddesses. Let alone we would be probably as strong with all this technology we have now. We wouldn't even need it.

there are multiple good ones to substantiate on from! maximum, if not all of them have faults, there is not any doubt about that. yet in case you concentration on their good values, then it really is ordinary to %. them out. Apollo, he heals. Athena, she's extremely smart. Poseidon, i'd favor to imagine he helps sea travelers locate their way, yet this isn't actual. even even with the undeniable fact that he's conscious of Zeus is the boss, he's not afraid to project him once in awhile (if desire be). every person who's courageous sufficient to face up to Zeus is the underdog who advantages popularity. It saved Zeus "in examine". Zeus, he's the boss who seems to teach large compassion contained in the least envisioned moments. even with his many faults, compassion and humility are characteristics in ordinary words latest in large leaders. This rings actual even as he bows to the three Fates. Hermes, he's smart like Athena and the guy contained in the middle. i imagine, as well his link to particular mysteries, there is extra to him than what's written. Aphrodite. as well being the goddess of love, for all the romantics accessible, there is something about this personality it really is exciting. before each little thing, in my attitude, she's the most predictable in words of reaction. She should be commemorated even with the precedence and she is very aggressive. If she would not get what she needs, she receives enraged. She became the middle of, and/or the reason behind numerous disputes between human beings. And contained in the triangle of scheme of activities, with out Aphrodite, there would not be any "action" (and it is not purely relating the sexual aspects, obviously). Plato became surely most suitable even as he stated something to the right results of: there are 2 Aphrodites, which Pausanias stated as them: Aphrodite Ourania, and Aphrodite Pandemos. If this is not an excellent composition, then i do not understand what's! Artemis. She instruments a good get mutually for women to be extra aggressive in male-oriented activities, and proves that you'll be purely as effective, if no extra constructive. All women could relate in some element. And on a similar token, Hera. you should call her as a favorite after all she suffered with Zeus. It takes an extremely good lady to do this. do not get on Hera's undesirable facet! = ) i'm particular there are countless extra who i did not element out, and they do deserve the popularity. yet one element for particular, there are countless large instructions to be realized from Greek mythology.
