$5.15/hr

It's not enough to survive on for the majority of people! I saw the right answers here, $5.15 Federal, and some states have raised it.

Unless you are willing to live communally like in a third world country, it is way below the poverty level. Now if 6 or so people move in together in a small place, then you might save some money. Is that the way you want to live?

I believe there is a federal minimum but it is up to the states to raise the minimum in the state from that federal minimum....either way...if you want to make the most minimum wage then move to Cali...news today says that cali just raised their minimum wage to the highest of all states.

I don't know, but minimum wage is one of the most absurd things in America, is based upon Communism, it helps no one, it harms everyone and it should be abolished immediately.

I'm thinking that the person who insitgated it in the U.S. is probably deceaed, but his corpse should be dug up and deported.

I will pay anyone $100 if they can say why the state should be allowed to dictate the terms of a private contract between two consenting adults to enter into a work agreement with an amount they feel is fair between themselves.

Every state is different. What I suggest is to search minimum wage and it will bring you to a page that has the map of united states which you can click on any state and it will tell you what it is!! If you gave the state i would of check it for you!! Good Luck to you

An unlivable wage that makes work meaningless, and will support not even the most modest lifestyle.
