Yes, it is a political question. I'll explain why after enough answers are posted.
And be honest here. Tell us the brand names of any vehicle you've bought new. Also, your political party of choice.

I was just curious because of a lot of the claims I’ve read here about topics like ‘how NAFTA is so bad for us and how the trade deficit is so out of control. And I was wondering if any of you realize, by buying a foreign automobile, that you might be adding to the problem, might be helping sending American jobs overseas? That American made cars are probably just as well built, by today’s standards, as most foreign made cars?
But because most of you said you’ve bought mostly American made cars I suppose this little survey is moot.

Chrysler Concorde, Jeep Liberty, Chrysler Sebring, Chrysler Town & Country Van, Corvette. Have family working for both GM and Chrysler so I go where I get the best employee discount price. I really have no political party of choice. It's like picking the dog with the least fleas. I vote the person and generally do not vote the primary's where you declare a party. I suppose if forced, I'd say Democrat.

Toyotas are the best . Hondas are very goog as well. Very dependable and long running without problems. I bought a ford lately because they had so many rebates and price cuts I though what the heck. They cant be that bad. Boy was I wrong. It was an F150 and it had to get a rear end at 1500 miles, an altinator at 2100 miles and has had 3 recalls. What a hunk of crap. By the way did I mention it only gets 13 miles to the gallon. They said it would get 17 and 19. I am trying to sell it and go back to a toyota truck.

I've bought two Ford Focus hatchbacks and a Kia Spectra compact sedan. I'm independent, but I'd prefer the Democratic party over the Republicans 9 times out of 10.

just bought a new Kia Sorento, it is a great car so far fast for a 6 cly. and powerful enough to pull a trailer, gets good gas mileage and was inexpensive as far as SUV's.... hace also owned dodge like them for looks but to expensive, gas hog, and quite a bit of mechanical issues
Politcal: Usually depends on subject but definetly more democrat than anything. Definetly did not vote for Bush or either Bush for that matter.. Our country would be alot better off if he were not in office

Don't buy new. You take it off the lot and its worth $3000 less than you paid for it.
But a GM product and I'm a Republican

I've got some Tonka trucks, Mattel and Matchsticks. Oh, I almost forgot, I've got a few Hess trucks, too.
I'm a SPLATT (check out my profile if you don't believe me).
No, I don't know where they were manufactured.
