Home to do what? Shine boots? March around Ft Knox all day? Dave grow and get a pair. We have been in the region for 40 plus years. We are not leaving. Even if you move ground forces from Iraq, We would still need Air & naval forces close by. Considering Iraqi is still building its own forces Our presence is required to provide a counter to Iranian plans. We leave when the job of stabilizing the government & the build up of Iraq's forces is complete. What you suggest is same bad move we made in 1973 in 'Nam. You want to run home and leave them holding the bag just as they are getting off the ground. Do want to fight the bad guys there or in the streets of Clevland, Chicago or miami? Running away will not support the troops. They are making change there and building a new society in a region of backward ways. They had written a constitution and formed government faster than our Colonies ever did. Our willingness to use force has force nations like Libya to the barganing table, Iran to deal with the world & Syria out of Lebanon. War is not nice, pretty, or cheap. However where I come from, the fight is over when the other guy is doesn't get up anymore. The lesson learned from Somalia was that American are scared of blood. Make US shed some and we run. That emboldens are enemies to take chances. That our timdness leads to inaction. Inaction is exactly what the UN is doing today in Darfar and still can't do in Lebanon after a week!
Dave, you can be a Sheep or a Wolf. With your ideas you'll be on a plate next to the mashed potatoes.
Pass the ketchup.......

Bush was not wrong on the WMD because it was just an excuse. But he was wrong in thinking he could control the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world. He will not end the war as the newly installed Iraqi government will collapse immediately and taken over by elements not friendly with the American government as soon as the US troops pull out. Bush can not afford to lose the investment he has planted by the invasion of Iraq.

First you need to learn to recognize lies. The UN resolutions were ignored, there was WMD, there was co-operation with Al Quida. Not to mention that war was declared on us a long time ago. It has just taken us a while to recognize it. The Lebanon barracks, the USS Cole, the embassies in africa, the twin towers attepmt in 1993. What better way to fight a war but to have your opponent blissfully unaware. Get a reality check. We are at war whether we fight or lay down and roll over. How much freedom is there under Muslim style rule?

We should, your right about everything you said...
And Ah Ha, there's a difference between supporting the troops as respectable human beings, and the war in Iraq...
Bush would rather tear the country apart than admit he's wrong...
And he should be impeached, his illegal wiretaps were absolutely impeachable offenses..

Because Nut cases like Ah-Ha and Andy_Slaphead, are war mongering blood hounds who urge more war, more killings, resulting into more divisions amongst Human beings, which evidently leads to more bloodshed.
Never ending vicious cycle of pain and suffering and people like the ones mentioned are endorsing this and have blood on their hands by supporting tyrants like Bush.

I am with you! Bring our troops home. Lets stop having them murdered on foriegen soil fighting in someone elses civil war, and dying for this administrations personal agenda and greed. Have Bush held accountable for his actions, he has lied to his American people over and over, and he still is our president! What is wrong with that picture? Why is he still in Office? Yes I think we should support our troops, with more benifits for those who are permanetly disabled now because of the war, who families are widowed and for soldiers who have wittnessed such horrible things they can't sleep at night, and wake up sweating, crying and vomitting. Enough is enough!

"Let's admit Bush was wrong......"
How so?
After the first world trade center bombing - we did nothing. Result: Another attack.
After the embassy bombings - we did nothing. Result: Another attack.
After the USS Cole bombing - we did nothing. Result: Another attack.
Are you starting to see a pattern here?
