Some suggestions:
1. Examine your conscience at the end of the day. Ask yourself what you did that was good, then what you did that was bad. Then make resolutions for the next day.
.2. When you get into a bind, such as when you cannot tell if an action is good, bad or indifferent. Ask for advice... if you are a Catholic see a priest. Other religions, see your pastor or rabbi.

Nobody thinks that they are bad! Even the most evil of people (ie: Hitler, Hussein) can justify their actions, if only to themselves.
Do the things you do, the words you say hurt others more often than not? Do you primarily think of yourself before others? Do you have consideration for others when making decisions about how to proceed in any given situation?
Good or bad is a moralistic judgment placed on humans by other humans. It is a description of behaviour that does or does not fall within established norms. It has nothing to do with who you really are.

If you can look at yourself in the mirror every morning and you like the person that you see, then that's a good indication of whether or not you're a good person. If your friends come to you and know that they can count on you for things...be it advice or being there when they need you, that's another good indicator.

There is a little good in the worst of us and a little bad in the best of us. Just strive for the good and realize you will never be perfect. Your instinct will tell you what is bad. As long as you are not a sociopath or a psychopath, you have a conscience. Your conscience tells you when something is good or bad. God loves you.

How do you define "good person"? Someone who follows all the rules all the time? Someone who is kind and generous and honest despite the rules of society? Someone who has impulses to do bad things but doesn't act on those impulses? Someone who never has an unkind or impure thought?
There's no definition that everyone follows. In some cultures, a person who lies to protect the life of another person would be considered bad. In some cultures, a person who kills another -- or themself -- in the name of religion is considered good.

Nobody is all good or all bad but if you live your life treating others as you would like to be treated then you can't go too far wrong. Never judge someone by what others say always make up your own mind and keep your own counsel.

Generally, if you have to ask yourself that question, you ARE a good person. A bad person just don't care.

If you can't tell by yourself, do a little experiment:
Walk down your street or anyplace where people who know you will be seeing you, if you hear more than one insult, you are on the bad side.
