to be naive usually means to be Innocent. example not getting certain types of jokes, not catching on to certain things quick enough or at all. And also means to lack street smarts.

Really clueless. Practically innocent as to the insinuations & innuendos people make. Everything just either goes clear over your head or you really buy into what people tell you. You don't read between the lines.

to be naive is to be clueless on most ideas in life, to be gullible and innocent, even past a point where people think you shouldn't be.
