As a website design professional, I would typically charge between $300 and $500 for a site like that.

Since you're new and trying to gain business, and your customer is a friend, I'd probably go with about $50.

Don't undercharge, they will take advantage of you. I build political websites for politicians and my rate is hourly, 30 - 40 an hour billed in 1/4hr increments. They jump on that rate. Many times it is best to have an hourly rate because most customers add so much after the site is built or they decide they want something different than they originally decided on.

But in your case, maybe a couple hundred or so if it is for a friend.

Yes I'd say about $50-$75 for a friend, and more for an unknown once you are know. If you have a online site post address.
Hope it helped...

Honestly to me I would charge them at least $100 unless your going to buy the template then I'd charge $80. Unless your looking to score bonus points don't sell yourself short.

My tip is never ever sell yourself short even if you're trying to beat your competitor's price. You should be paid for what you are worth and the amount of work you put into it.
