OK, so you want us to apply the scientific method.... let see, I can tell that it is NOT cold outside, and here is the evidence:

1) I see people passing by wearing light clothing.
2) Through the other window I see my 5 year old daughter, in the backyard, eating her ice cream fast, since its melting.
3) I place my hand on the window glass and it feels warm.
And finally....
4) The thermometer I have placed outside the kitchen window reads 80°F

Positivism is fine, but for scientific purposes only.
In philosophy, It was OK way back in the 1800´s.

I think sucked into America who have brutally hot summers then it drops to unbelievably cold in winter. In Australia it is nice all year round :) What a glorious 22 degrees Celsius sunny day it is!

Wouldn't it be called suck-ism instead had it not been positive?
