I like to randomly offer to babysit a couple's kids so they can go out to dinner together (usually for the first time in months). Or I find out what their favorite food is and bring it to them when they least expect it.
What can you think of?

I eat in restuarants alot. Sometimes, when I see a family that has a few kids, maybe they dont look rich, but the kids are well-behaved...sometimes I pay their tab on the way out. I dont tell them or anything (I'm not that into meeting people). I just pay their tab when I pay my own and leave.

yes, usually it's food..whether it be during tough times or when someone has passed away.
I send unexpected meaningful gifts (just tokens) sometimes.
An unexpected note on good stationary flowry paper is nice.
Call people on their birthday (especially the older folks).
Bring groceries when it's tough just before payday.
Be available to take someone to the doctor's office.
Share maintenance ideas with other women when their cars aren't operating well.

If it comes from the heart anything you choose to do is okay. The babysitting thing is really good though.

Thank the Lord, you are so un-selfish and thoughtful! Never, lose the 'gift' you have: thinking about other peoples needs, first!
