Yes, if necessary I would die to save my wife.
Of course, I remember my grandfather's question about if my wife & my mother were in the water and I could only save one from drowning which one would I save. I answered that I would save my wife (especially because my mother was a very strong swimmer & could probably save herself). He told me that I was wrong, I should save my mother -because "You can always get another wife, but as long as you live you'll only have one mother".
*My mother thought it was funnier than my wife did.

No, I have never seen a chick stay with their man for life, they always leave. So,I don't think it's worth it. I would just find another one when I was done grieving
