I'm just old enough to remember seeing some of the later ones first time round. In its day it was very risque (and funny), but it must seem rather stilted and 'old hat' compared to today's offerings.
If I remember correctly, the film was pretty true to the television series, but with the added bonus that more of a plot could be woven into it than was possible in the regular half-hour TV show.
As another film of a similar ilk I would recommend "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum".
In a different vein, Frankie Howerd teamed-up with June Whitfield to release a single "Up J'taime" - absolutely bl**dy hilarius - I gotta get hold of a copy of that again!!! ;-)

through fact some writers won't be able to think of of aything to make so as that they seem to previous exhibits to "borrow" the belief. they in many cases are not almost as good through fact the writers from the unique exhibits nevertheless. additionally they'd desire to think of that because those exhibits have been known lower back interior the day that folk gets a feeling of nostalgia and choose to video demonstrate the recent video clips.
