There is no REASON that they should have, of course, but if God create them in His own image is a very self-interpretable phrase. It's a lot like the question "what came first: the chicken or the egg?" I admire your inventiveness. I've never heard this asked, until now, and people say they are no new ideas under the Sun. I think you'd be a fascinating author. Be well.

That is a Question that we will never know until we get to
Heaven and ask Adam and Eve personally if they had Belly buttons.

Yes I think so, God created Adam and Eve the way he wanted people to be in the future.

that question is as old as time
like what came first, the chicken or the egg?

In my opinion I think they did, as God would have known that their sons and daughters would have them, and he wouldn't have wanted mom and dad to look different from the kiddies
UNLESS(teehee)
he figured that their difference (ie no belly buttons) would have been a great opportunity for mom and dad to explain to the kiddies how they came to be, that they (Adam & Eve) were created, and that every child born thereafter would have them (bellybuttons)......
who knows?
PS - just proves God has a good sense of humour

No, I don't think they did. There would medically be no need for them, as they were created from the earth (well, eve from adam's rib bone) so there would not be a need for an umbilical cord if they were never babies.

Of course not, that requires an umbilical cord.Neither one of them were created that way.I'll bet Eve was hot!No lint.

Interesting question since they were supposedly made whole and weren't born with an umbilical cord attached. Hmmmm.

Good question. Hard to answer. Since God created them, they weren't born like we were. God may have wanted some conformity to them to resemble us. I'm going to say no.
