I am fascinated with old castles, and the stories of Knights, and lords and ladies. I was hoping someone could help me with a couple good links that will help me study the history, from around 1200 to now, and the lifestyles led back then, what castle life was like... etc

Thanks!

Being an Anglophile myself, I looked up a few sites... I suggest the National Archive of Britian which contains the Domesday Book that is a collection gathered in 1085 by William the Conqueror to survey "the resources and taxable values of all the boroughs and manors in England. He wanted to discover who owned what, how much it was worth, and how much was owed to him as King."

The site also contains: Research, education & online exhibitions.
