Hi I am looking to find undiscovered raw talent for parties and pub nights any ideas on where to look?

I am looking for bands comedians magicians and hypnotist and i havent a clue where to start looking. I am hosting two parties and want to host a pub night but need to find new talent to give a chance and a small fee as i cant afford a large amount of money. where would i start to look for new entertainment

I am located in Ireland. Looking for all kinds of new talent comedians,bands,magicians and hypnotist.I am looking for undiscovered talent to offer them an oppertuniy and a small fee but cant afford to pay for anything to expensive. I need them for two parties and possibly a pub night thanks

I am not sure where in Ireland you are located but there are a lot of places you can look first of all post ads at the local High Schools especially in the Drama department ( I know you are saying no i want professional magicians but I work with high school kids all the time and they can be amazing and need someplace they can perform as much as you need them) also check the area for local magic, musicians , or theater clubs and also post a notice at the local library as a lot of magicians , jugglers , storytellers etc, Volunteer their time there ( myself included) I mentioned high schools but also post at colleges there. I wish I was in Ireland I would love to do a pub tour . I was offered one once where they were going to fly me there and I would do 20 minutes at different pubs for about 2 weeks but we couldn't get our schedules to merge too bad it sounded fun and that's where my family came from so it would have been cool.

I share your pain. When Jake & I put the band back together, we had to round up our boys from such unlikely locations as the Chez Paul and the Holiday Inn. It's a lot of work to put together a show.

In the early days, Jake & I would get drink money from talent contests. It's a good way to scout for talent if you offer a small prize. Who knows? You may discover the next Ray Charles.
