I suggest that you consult with an attorny. Laws vary from state tom state, and money shouldn't end up in his ex's hands. The cost of NOT doing anything could be VERY high.

A prenuptial may not be enough with the liberal courts being what they are. You may want to have your soon to be husband petition the court for a re-draft of the child support order to specify that child support can only be derived from his personal assets and may not include any new or future marital assets.
Naturally I recommend consulting an Attorney on this matter. Typically speaking the existing child support order and any alterations requested on her part should only pertain to his personal income. However, play it safe and consult an Attorney to make sure you are protected.

Oh my gosh, you should so NOT get married. You don't need to!! Have a 'pretend' marriage ceremony and live happily ever after instead. That way you will protect 100% of your assetts. Even if you sign a pre-nup to protect the finances from his ex, his kids will become a factor in your financial future. Don't even not think that it won't happen. Your income will be taken into consideration when the court determines child support payments (and she'll file again, you can count on that.) Plus, his kids become YOUR kids. You can't leave them out of the will (or his life). I'm happy your in love, and glad you're looking out for yourself. Take care!

i've got already married somebody who had a prior. So what? what's the question you're asking? Are you asking some double time-honored? Are you asking no be counted if or no longer there is robust or undesirable in a guy or woman? Are you so some distance above your self which you're able to even evaluate asking the variety of dopey question? How righteous are you? Sheeesh. And to apply a "financial employer" as an occasion? Huh?

You really need to get legal advice before you marry this man with all his baggage. It is possible that his first wife will be able to ask for more alimony and child support based on the increase in the household income.

She can try to get them, but she won't, because his payments are solely his income it does not include your money. And also they are divorced already, she no longer gets any of his investments. Read his divorce papers, everything was finalized. The only time she can get more money from him is if he get a increase in pay.

Talk to a lawyer. There are a lot of ways around a prenup. Make sure he has his own lawyer. Plan to keep your finances separate.
Also, you said you are getting married next month, you really need to sign a prenup well before the marraige to keep it valid.

I don't think she has any legal right to your income, only his, but you might want to ask a lawyer. Definately keep the company ownership in your name without his
