I can't focus in class...I space out when my teachers talk...I just sit and doodle cause if I try to listen I just fall asleep...if I'm not doodling or passing notes I'm daydreaming about leaving my stupid small town. But if I don't pass this year I WILL NEVER LEAVE!!! HELP ME LEAVE MY HORRIBLE MIDWESTERN TOWN!!!! Help me cure my senioritis!!!

Just focus on how much you want to leave there. That should motivate you a lot. And get rid of as many distractions as possible when you have to do schoolwork. Find a quiet place for homework and find how your teachers lectures in class might apply to your particular interests and your life.

Good for you - for having recognized your situation. The best solution is to decide what kinds of jobs you would like to have. Then find out what education you need. If you can set some goals for your future - next 5 to 10 years it will help you to keep focused on school now. You have to have a good reason to finish your senior year with good grades.

If you have no idea of what you want to do you may want to try the Career Direct on-line guidance program. Follow this link http://www.careerdirectonline.org/login/

Did you take the ASVAB at school? Make an appointment with your counselor to find out the results of any interest assessments you may have taken. These will help you to determine some fields you could do well in.

Good lick - you gotta know where you want to go before you can want to get there!!! Think about it.

P.S. - Just "going to college" isn't enough - what will you do when you get there?

sounds like the town i live in!!! well all i can say is study hard and i hope you have a good college in mind...make you pass the necessary classes that you need to graduate....you should be able to this when school gets in full swing in a couple of weeks..once that happens you will be ok..you still have your "summer-brain"...that happens to a lot of students until the first test..you will be ok.

I suggest you use your very real fear that you will be stuck in the mid west forever (probably married to a local loser and with six screaming kids) to keep your attention focused on your work.

i visit thoroughly relate! My stunning suggestion might want to be to discover an notion. Do you've a dream college? how undesirable do you fairly want to bypass to varsity? How undesirable do you fairly want your DREAM occupation? remind your self of this stuff once you discover that you lack concentration specifically initiatives or assignments in extreme college. in case you quite want to get to varsity, you'll encourage your self to save going. i desire this permits!
