I've read a lot about 'John Titor' the man who posted on a science forum a few years back and said he was from the year 2036 and had travelled back in time. What is everyone's opinion on the subject?

I'm still not sure. Some of his predictions were right while some were totally wrong. There is so much we don't know. Who is to say that time travel doesn't exsist in the future and if it does that they would come back and study history, for all we know it could even be dimensional. For instance something in present time could be occuring on another dimension yet be completely different of what is on ours, that could explain wrong predictions. Or it could all be a very ellaborate and creative hoax. In any case it is an interesting notion.

Yes. He was a hoax. However, he had quite the insight to things that expand the average Joe's mind. Serious scientists, however, have not commented nor taken the time to interrogate his "teachings".

It is of the analogy of someone who is an expert in their field and seeing hollywood try to duplicate it. It fools some people and makes some believers.

What you ought to poll is the following story's credibility:

hoax.... Why would anybody want to visit this time period? That in and of itself should tell you it was a hoax.
