It's not to early if you have nothing else to do and can fill time by making your Christmas plans or planning your gifts. But if you have a heavy work load, then yes it's too early to think about Christmas, you can save time by thinking about what you're going to have for dinner.

No, start buying the gifts you are going to give now. It spreads the expense out, and you have time to shop for good prices, or the perfect gift. The whole Christmas season orgy of buying is so bogus. The day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas surely belong in Dante's 7th circle of Hell.
I actually keep an eye open for gift items all year, and have a special place I stash them.

it's ok if you want to get some shopping done, or plan for people coming from far away, but that should be it.
I really have seeing Christmas decorations before Rememberance/Veteran's Day. P's me off big time. All the decorations are supposed to do is make you think about buying earlier, so you spend about 5 paycheques on buying stuff.
I think if it is focussed on too much, it actually dilutes the fun and awe of the holiday.

No it is not too early to think about Christmas if its for buying gifts for people but the main thing is people mostly think of Christmas as a holiday to celebrate with gifts and not what Christmas really is to be celebrated for, neither is it too early to think about Christmas if we think about Jesus because we should think and praise him everday, Christmas is counted as Jesus birthday so we need to celebrate his birth everyday,

It is never too early to think about the Christmas holidays. I think about Christmas year round, and I wait anticipating and plan for the holidays to roll around again and again.

Yes, it's still a bit early to me, but I've seen stores that have already started to display Christmas items. I think they should at least wait until Halloween.

This is the time of year I start. My bank has what they call a Holiday club instead of Christmas club. You can get money out anytime without penalty. That way if you spot the perfect gift in August you have the cash to pay for it. I always aim to be finished before Thanksgiving.

No I think about it all year. Buying gifts when there are sales so I can have the gifts wrapped well before Christmas and can enjoy the spirit of the season not the attitudes of the people who put it off until the last minute.
