Just like a body language.

Yes, dance is a language of the body. If you're experiencing a strong feeling, your whole body is part of it. Dance is a language to express it.

Interesting thought about martial art. Yes, it can be very expressive, but dancing is more versatile expression tool: try expressing passion of love by martial arts ;-)

Dancing, however, can express any feeling that comes to my mind: sadness, madness, excitement, passion, you name it.

In a personal sense? When I dance, I feel like I'm in a different world. I'm totally oblivious to everything outside of my dance world. If I'm feeling sad, I dance, If I'm feeling happy, I dance... i dance to take my mind off things i don't particularly want to think about but most important of all, I feel happy when I'm dancing.

I think martial arts can be dancing too. Dancing is the movement of your body and you do certain things when you feel a certain way. When I become angry, I lift weights and you can transform the that movement into part of your dance. This concept is how dance originated.
