What bothers me is how in the world can I stand to make some money if those ads started to show up on my 360 page. I mean, if Yahoo! is going to run ads on my page, then I might as well be properly compensated for it. Am I right?

Yeah, it bothers me visually, for sure.
But every answerer above who just parrots: 'yes, it does' also has to realise that as a corporation and commercial entity, Yahoo! needs a revenue stream, and it's hard to justify in business terms why Answers should be sacrosanct.
After all, they aren't running Y!A as a public service so insecure guys around the globe can ask the online community that age-old question: 'Is my dick too small?'****

Yes, it slows down the computers . Maybe if they donated prizes
for our points or money for all of our points, then the ads would not
bother us as much. If there was some sort of reward, we might
even consider looking at the ads.

So far I've only seen ads for other yahoo services, that's cool. Long as they don't allow those FLASH FLASH FLASH YOU'VE WON AN IPOD type ads. I'd rather there were ads than have to pay for stuff like this....

Yes it does bother me..as if my pathetic 28.8K dial up connection wasnt bad enough..i have to have one more thing for this to try to load on every single page

Advertising stupid stuff makes it dull otherwise as far i believe ads are a medium to show your creativity.

No it doesn't really bother me.The ones that do bother me are the ones that keep flashing,their annoying and distracting.If they help keep answers free I don't mind at all.

Advertisements bother me on Yahoo - Monster.com - even in the movies - they show commercials first............
