I would like to have a date with my woman and I would like to cook her a candle light dinner. Maybe crab, sea bass. Our daughter will be with her dad, 21 year old will be around, and the 23 year old pops in all the time.. Not to mention everyone’s friends. I wanted it to be a surprise. I don’t want to have to payoff the children and I've done this before getting a hotel.. I want to surprise her at home... How can I get them to leave or not show up.

mylife,
Whoa! That sounds pretty complicated! I'm telling you, huh?

It's not clear who the 21 is, and the 23 is. Which is the woman you'll have dinner with?

Oh, okay. I guess the question is can you trust the older ones to keep a secret. I wouldn't tell them too far in the future, I think that is fair to them. So they aren't forgetful over a long period of time.

At that age I would think that they would understand! It seems that they hae been understanding up to now, but I really don't know them.

If they are mature at all, they should neither tell or expect a bribe. But I'm thinking like a guy. Sorry.

But that's the best I can do.

Give the 21 and 23 year old kids money to take everyone to a movie while you have your dinner

Do what I do, straight up, mom and dad night, DO NOT COME OR CALL between this and this. We're having an evening together. Works for me!

You need to talk to mom. She needs to understand that you need alone time too. One night without any interruptions is not too much to ask.
