On a insinkerator disosal--the reset button is underneath on the bottom. Push the red button in and it should "reset". You will feel it . This is by code supposed to have it"s own dedicated power line and circuit breaker. If the reset does"nt start it again---you may have to reset the breaker in the breaker box. If then it just hums--then it is jammed. Look underneath and you will see a hole in the center. This hole is where you insert the "crank" to turn it and break it loose from whatever is causing it to jam up. This "crank" looks like a off-set allen wrench---- which you can use if you don"t have a "crank". Something like using a crank to start a old model T car. Good Luck.

yeah push the red buttom you will have to bend down and look .. but it is right there.. push and hold it it should work if not something is jaming the disposal.. maybe get a broom stick and stick it downd there with out the [power on} and move the blades around to see if you can get it unstuck... then try again... good luck ...of and sometimes it can come unpluged.. look down under the sink .. maybe a bag or a cleaning bottle pushed the cord out from the wall.. if not still head to SEARS..

good luck
