Okay, Did anyone get to vote on pray taken out of schools? Is it the governments, buisness to make us wear a seatbelt in our car? Over and over evidense is introduced electronic voting machines can be rigged. People want the illegals removed, the government doesn'y listen (thank God for our MInute Men), people as a whole don't want our troops in Iraq. My favorite is Bush wanting to give 6 of our major ports over to a Country that harbored terrorist, when people became outrage and congress wanted to stop it. Bush basically said so what. It wasn't until his own party came down on him, he listen. I wonder if he had to give back the millions that Arab Country "donated" to his brother's software company. Now they can come in our home anytime by misleading us calling it the Patriot Act. The easedrop on our telephone conversations. They want to get on you for spanking your children. Where are our rights?

No tyranny in history has ever been established overnight. The method of dictators has always been slow, gradual, well-calculated series of measures, each one of them seemingly innocent enough, easily alibied and explained by the ruler as embodying the best in tensions in the world, and not none of them clear, direct and sufficiently flagrant to make the entire people-every single man on the street-realize that it affects him personally.
Each measure is passed without great trouble or violent public opposition because the average man does not see at the time, how it can possibly affect his own existence.......Then, one day he awakens suddenly to realize all his rights and liberties are gone. He cannot say exactly how or when it happened. He sees only the cumulative effect of single measures he did not consider important at the time he accepted them. He may be horrified and he may want to scream in protest. But it is to late to protest.
Wake up people Bush is the enemy. He's done more to destroy our freedom than Bin Laden or Saddam, or any terrorist has ever done.

You are "misstaken". I'll comment on just a couple of your staements.

The government ABSOLUTELY has the right to make you wear a seatbelt. Kill yourself if you want, and that's likely if you're not belted up, but you're also more likely to lose control of your car when you're not belted in, and you may kill or injure others.

Your "favorite', dumping on President Bush for considering port management by a British firm owned by the state of Dubai, is simply wrong.

They are disappearing in the phoney war on terrorism. Same here in the UK - I appreciate that terroriest have to be dealt with, but if the price is total loss of our freedom and a culture of 'guilty until proven innocent', then it's too high. Especially as some of the decisions taken over this apparent war seem of questionable virtue and seem to restrict the honest persons rights without having any appreciable value against stopping the evil of organised terrorism.

Ok, get this, now they're thinking about putting the little black
boxes in new cars, so they can track your driving, probably so
insurance co. can charge you a higher rate, for any reason
they can dream up.

To me, Bush is nothing more than your friendly neighborhood
dictator. When Americans finally get sick of him & want to
revolt, I'm ready. He's a self-appointed bully & a creep.

Absolutely, without a doubt. They have been slowly disappearing for quite a while, long since before Bush became President. It's just that their dissapearance was more subtle, not so noticeable and abrupt as the process is now that we have a thug for a Prez.

check out how many time our old late night talk show host johnny carson was charged and convicted of drunk driving and how many nights he spent in jail
governments who do extend our rights to us make sure we don't have the money to enjoy them
do you really think that palm springs or beverly hill ever sustained the damage that new orleans did they would not have had immediate help and already be rebuilt....why....money
sorry to inform you of this but there is only one set of rules and regulations for all....but the rich can afford to understand them and the poor are kept poor.

I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myraid of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, George Bush. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

Many of our hard-fought rights were flushed down the toilet by the present administration and president. It's not likely we'll ever get them back. That is why many Americans are leaving the States.
