I loved Bea because she looks like the type of woman you would not get into conflicts outside the pub. SCARY. And the dyke-ey prison guard with the v neat bun hair. Terrific series for getting all those actresses strong roles and for giving my drunken generation something to watch when we came home from the clubs.

Bea the big lass was a right hard nut and that vile warden with the scraped back hair but I can't remember her name oh and little Lizzie the old girl.

She was just pure evil but met her match in Rita Connors who ended up getting her to admit to murdering someone, she got it taped and played as evidence. that was in the very last episode as well

It`s got to be top dog Bea Smith cos she didn`t take no sh1t but she also had a nice side to her when it came to people she liked and cared about.

i meet bea smith in 1997 when she came to hanley stoke-on-trent such a lovely women in real life but my fav has got to be lizzie birdsworth and that grog she use to make and the way she outwitted the screws,classic

Lizzie, the old girl loved that place so much when she was released she tried her hardest to get back inside to her friends.
