I really don't get this, I mean I'm straight and I don't give a sh*t, is it just a hate thing?

As we've been told again and again, the only purpose of marriage is for PROCREATION. So, if you're not planning to give birth to children, you can't get married. Soon the laws will be amended to deny marriage to the elderly, the sterile, and those who just plain don't want children as well. And people who have been married will lose the rights and privileges as soon as the kids are out of the house. Hey, that's procreation for ya.

If you are completely and utterly non-chalant about what other people are doing then I have a question -- when a clear and large majority of voters have codified a law that marriage IS only between a man and a woman, then why do you care about that? Let those people -- those voters -- have their law and leave them alone. You shouldn't give a sh*t about the law they made. Accept the fact that you were outvoted and move on with your life, focusing on things that are more important to you.

It is alla game of religious dominance... and another way for the moral right wingers to yield control over this nation. ALTHOUGH... I think fighting for gay amrraige is a bit to much and the fight should be focused on civil unions instead. Civil Unions would not involve the bigoted church crowd at all and they would have no say in the matter... so that should have been the route traveled instead of a direct assault on marraige (which is a fine standing institution if you ask me... supported by staggering divorce rates and annullments... and great reality TV shows)

Just another excuse to debate a non-issue for the hypocritical (im) moral “holier then thou” mob to throw more rocks. I am happily married but I think there are more important issues then whom my neighbor is sleeping with that effect society as a whole.

I agree with you. I have always said, "To each his own." It wouldn't bother me a bit if people of the same sex got married. We're not supposed to judge others, but it sure seems to me that there is plenty of it going on. I am married to a person of the opposite sex and am fine with that. What others do is their business. What are they hurting? Who are they hurting? Nothing and nobody. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

You see, MANY of the Conservative Gay Bashers are not nearly as secure in their own manhood, as you and I are!!! The marrage of someone else, no matter their sex, is of no consequence to me, as it does not threaten my masculinity or my marrage, in any way, but, these insecure little NeoCON fearmongers, want an issue, they can use, to divide Americans, and, this seems to be one, so, they use it, whenever they can!!!! Be prepared to hear more, on this issue and others, just as inane!!!

If gays can get married, then I am going to marry my cat.

Marriage is between a man and a woman, anything else is something else. Gays can have their relationship. but call it something else, because it sure as helll isn't marriage...

I'm with you on that! Who cares if homosexuals get married. They are two people in love, and thats the bottom line.

I totally agree. I think people just need to complain especially with things out of their comfort zones.
