Does anyone know the results of the recent court case in California heard on July 10th? I read that a judge was suppose to decide whether or not it was un constitutional but I havent heard any updates.

The California cases ("In re Coordination Proceeding") have not been reviewed at the appellate level yet, so the 2005 ruling declaring the ban invalid under the California constitution remains in effect, but stayed pending appeal.
Smelt v. County of Orange, 447 F.3d 673, (May 2006). Challenges to DOMA dismissed for lack of standing. Remaining claims dismissed because the court abstained in favor of allowing California state courts to resolve California law issues.
That's all I could find. Or are you referring to some other case?

If it is the one concerning same sex marriages approved by the majors, etc... of some cities, the courts ruled they were not valid because they did not comply with state law.

I am straight but I am all for same sex marriage. It is ridiculous that we have a law tha doesn't allow same sex marriage.

i think there is no same sex marriage anymore. i think the judge ruled on that there should not be any.
