AB?? Do you mean ABS or airbag??
If it is the ABS light, you have a problem in your abs system, you should get it checked as soon a possible. you will still have brakes, but your wheels will lock up if you have to hit the brakes real hard.
If it is the airbag system, you need to get it checked IMMEDIATELY !!! TAKE IT TO A DEALER..........NOT A REPAIR SHOP............A DEALER. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX OR DIAGNOSE THIS YOURSELF, YOU COULD CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. EVEN A STATIC SPARK CAN CAUSE IT TO DEPLOY.

it should be a yellow light that says "ABS", this stands for anti-lock braking system
if you notice you have some lights that are yellow and some that are red on the dash
these are the same as traffic lights, red means stop immediately and have it checked, yellow means you can proceed with caution and get it checked as soon as possible
when your "ABS" light comes on this means that system has detected a problem through the "EBCM", (electronic brake control module), your conventional brakes should still work properly.
however in a panic situation you will not have the same control stopping or steering as with the "ABS" system working
hope this helps you to understand the possible danger you could run into and why it should be repaired

It is the car telling you that there is a problem with the Anti-lock braking system. You will NOT have anti-lock brakes while the light is on.
Get this checked out immediately.

The AB light is supposed to be on when you put your key in and turn it, then when you start your car it's supposed to turn off.
Cars with ABS have a higher frequency of accidents, so unless you want to put you and your family at risk, if the system isn't working, best let sleeping dogs lie.

If its a ABS light, and it doesnt go off after a few seconds, then you have air in your brake system. all light are to come on for a few seconds, its part of the "self diagnosis" of the ecm.

IT ISN'T A PROBLEM TO RUN WITH THE ABS LIGHT ON IT IS ONLY LETTING YOU KNOW THAT ONE OF THE WHEEL SENSORS IS MALFUNTIONING AND DEPENDING ON HOW MANY MILES IS ON THE VEHICLE IN ? AND DEPENDING ON THE VEHICLE MAKE IT COULD ALSO MEAN THE YOU ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A WHEEL BEARING PROBLEM BECAUSE LOTS OF TIMES THE SENSOR GETS OUT OF TOLERANCE IF THE WHEEL BEARING IS GETTING WORN OUT AND THAT WILL MAKE THE LIGHT COME ON SO IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT BY A PROFESSIONAL.
