Right up until the danger passes. That goes across the board.

Agnostic/atheist, it doesn't matter. Agnostics aren't sure there's a God because we can't "prove" He exists. Atheists say there isn't a God; plain and simple. As far as what they believe when faced with a life crisis, I believe that they BOTH will pray to an entity, higher power, someone or thing "bigger" than them, to save them from certain death.

No.

The saying "there are no agnostics in fox holes" would be more believable.

But atheism is an affirmative disbelief in a divine power, not just a lack of belief.

No I would rather rely on my wits (limited as they may be) and try to solve the problems at hand then wishing or praying for a miracle. That doesn’t mean I would discourage anyone from praying for they have that moral right to do so.

Ummm--I think if you're under fire, you pray to survive it. You could pray to Offler, the crocodile god of Klatch, if you want. Or Flatulus, god of the winds. Or to your dear sweet mum, or whatever. Just someone or something to intervene. Anything. You don't have to go mental and start actually deluding yourself, for Pete's sake. For those who did, just think how many soldiers were fatally disappointed!

Absolutely not. In fact my husband was recently in the Air Force (discharged for medical reasons) and he knew SEVERAL atheists.

And no... "an agnostic" isn't "a scaredy atheist".
