Can having surgery young in life bring it on sooner?

Just like pregnancy, all women don't have the same symptoms when going through the menopause. Some women will have hot flushes, others will escape such symptoms. Some women's menopausal symptoms will be more pronounced than others.

Surgery, apart from hysterectomy, is unlikely to bring on an early menopause. It is more genetic; for instance if your mum started the menopause early then it's likely that you will.

A woman gets hot flashes when the level of estrogen goes down or stops all together. Your hormones are affected by your moods and by some ob/gyn surgery. If the hotflashes are too difficult to deal with, talk to your doctor because there are meds that can be used to make things easier to deal with.

Some women have blood sugar imbalances and some don't. My hot flashes really toned down once my blood sugar was under better control (formerly hypoglycemic - now diabetic).

Check www.hufa.org if you want basic info on low blood sugar.

I doubt it. Look it up and find out.
