I was hoping someone could tell me the meaning of the song "Blue and Yellow" by the used...

"well you're never gonna find it if you're looking for it
it won't come your way, yeah

i should've done something, but i've done it enough
by the way, your hands were shaking
i'd rather waste some time with you

i should've said something, but i've said it enough
by the way, my words are fading
i'd rather waste some time with you

waste some time with you.."

I think this is an amazing song that i really relate to... I want to know the meaning to this song if anyone knows it! Thanks!!!!

I think it is about a person who is dealing with suddenly letting go of a loved one...
Like a lover who had left them, and they should've done more or said more to prevent that...

This song gives me the impression that the singer/subject maybe committing suicide from taking blue and yellow pills, they are regretful for missing a chance to be with someone special, and this happening about the time the pills are kicking in.

I think the person who is singing it is saying that the character is dieing possibly ( my words are fading). Or he is hitting the person he is talkin to by saying ( i should've done something but ive done it enough by the way your hands were shaking) that makes me think she is scared of him
Hope i helped

Here is a great website that is a forum in which people discuss what they think the songs are about, if you are interested in reading through them, and deciding which one seems true.
