because the FCC responded to complaints by parents when swear words were put on tvs....that and nudity and inappropriate topics....so much for parents being responsible

Because not everybody is a fan of cuss words. And i'm sure they do it for the kids who watch the show. I know I am one of those who don't like to watch a show with cuss words.

Because the FCC has standards. These are set with guidance of the current moral code in the country at a given time. Things that are said now could not be said in the past.

Ha! Hardly anyone watches TV with the "caption" mode on, but if you turn it on, 9 out of 10 times you'll be able to SEE all the "bad words"; you'll also notice that many times what's being said on the captions does NOT match up to what's being said on TV.

whats funny many show's will block out the words like **** or ****, but they'll keep ones in like ****** and wetbacks or chink's or japs or jewish slander.
kinda funny because this post is an example of what i mean.
