The box cover has a picture of a family leaning against a bulging door holding back all the clutter they just put in the cupboard ...obviously expecting guests ...think the lady has long hair possibly 1980's?

I think you might be thinking of 'The Squeeze' although the box cover I'm thinking about they were pushing on the door frame as if it were closing in them. Haven't seen the film, just the cover of a video box.
