I need to know if I would be to forward to tell him I just want to make it all legal????? My friends say that I should and now I just got confused,Any one any ideas on how I might do it,if I do??

Here sweetheart I will tell you what I did. You should ask him if he was to get married what he would want. Then you should openly and honestly tell him that you feel that you should get married and make it legal. Be HONEST with him when you tell him what you want.

This may be a silly question, but did you care about being engaged before your friend said something? Is this about her view of the situation or yours?
If you truly feel you want to be officially engaged, then its time to have a serious talk with the bf. Let him know that you are looking for a very permanent commitment. If you are sure he is ready, go ahead and propose to him.

Sit down and talk to him...ask him, since he frequently mentions marriage, if he had planned to actually propose to you. Find out exactly where stands on the issue and then y'all can go from there...I wouldn't say "honey, you talk about marriage so often, let's go ahead and make it legal" as that may freak him out a bit...but you should go ahead and find out where he sees the relationship, since he keeps bringing up a future...

If he talkes about it, then he is probably ready for it. If you feel that it's been too long (like, over a year or two), you can always ask him whether he thinks you two should set a wedding date. If it hasn't been that long - give him time, he might propose on his own.

acting like,and being married is two complete different things.There is no right of demand that both enjoy with marriage. And the honor and respect still exist even though people have allowed themselves to be conditioned to believe that co-existing,being intimate,co-habitating,is equal to marriage.It's not for me to guide you, but to invite you to the truth.

i have a Friend that had a live in boy friend for 18yrs she had 3boys from him never married him he just die last year. the point is get married because the only thing you lose out on is his benefits she did that little Peace of paper really is more than marriage itself thing about it

You have to be honest with him about your feelings.
If that isn't what he wants, wouldn't it be better to find out now than to be hurt later?
