Simplistically, the US gets blamed because the US gets INVOLVED.
It's just like I was once told at a job I had, that the more I do on that job that goes beyond the description, the more fault I have because of what will inevitably go wrong from time to time.
The more responsibility one assumes, the more one gets blamed for it. And the United States has done as much good for the rest of the world as it has failed in doing. Everyone else, including a big power like China (until recently) simply watched from a distance and pointed out the flaws.

I posted the same question in my answer to another question, only worded differently: Why does everyone blame Bush -- do you think he sits around the Oval Office and looks at satellite feeds of the entire world, is a double agent in foreign countries, pours over every budget item in the Federal Government's budget? Nooooo......he has a whole fleet of Cabinet members, advisors and agencies who do this and then those people give him daily reports which give him massive amounts of information. We all know information can be manipulated and interpreted incorrectly and even contain flaws depending upon how much data is being collected and the methods by which they are collected.
This poor man has to then make decisions with many many variables not the least of which is 200+ years of history, the judicial and legislative branches of government.
Do you expect perfection from mere mortals? We are all just as responsible for how our government behaves as we (the ones who vote and communicate with our representatives) have a voice. We have the priviledge of writing our Congress and bringing injustice before the Supreme Court -- but most people would rather sit on this web site and complain than write a letter to the people that can actually do something about the issues that bother them.
Why do you think Bush has more power than given by the Constitution? Because no one raised their hand and said they participated in the bugging of phone lines when there was public outrage? Bush and Israel are the scapegoats of the world.
I just heard a preacher say that a people that is afraid of their government live in a dictatorship and a government that fears the people is a democracy. We apparently live in a dictatorship from what the average person and media says on a daily basis.
However, we are a democracy and I am tired of apathy toward DOING and the proliferation of complaining without action to change the world through the means we have at our disposal.
RISE UP and DO something or be silent because you have given all power to the people who are in office so it is you who is driving the way the world is going by your lack of participation.
I have volunteered to work for a Presidential candidate's exploratory committee and posted a question soliciting feedback on issues that matter to them and only 4 people responded.
Post a question about how great Satan is and at least 30 people respond -- what is wrong with this picture?

1. $3 billion of weapons to Israel every year.
2. Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL).
3. Support the burning of Lebanon.
4. Support the occupation of Palestine
So even when we do things that are positive, like opening businesses in Dubai and Kuwait, its just not enough.

Plus its rude and a turnoff while adult adult males or ladies try this. I wouldnt blame somebody who has had a coarse "love existence", yet a minimum of supply the different the income of the doubt.

"these people have faught and killed each other for thousands of years."
Hmm, can you give us some examples? They are killed when we come there and kill them, or when we incite one of them to kill others like them. Please, read your history books!
As always, it's easy to miss the big picture. The Middle East is an area where different races, and religions meet. It's only natural to see conflicts arise from such a condition. Also, with so much natural resources there, it's not surprising to see a lot of nations fight for them, that includes us too. Since we are the "Superpower", we can dictate more what goes on there. They, in turn, hate us for that..."coming into their backyard."

Iraq kept Iran and Syria pretty much in check, which means Iran's Hezbollah arm was fending off attacks from Saddam, which occurred in Iran Quite frequently! Perhaps they would not have been so brave as to start a conflict with Israel where Iranians were also fighting with Hezbollah!
Iraq was no threat to us, but Iran thought they were to them.
Now Iran wants to take over for Iraq! Do you think Iraq can stop that? They can't even, nor can we, stop the mayhem in Iraq!
Can you honestly say we are not the cause?

Good question. Without the US in the middle East there would be more carnage than at present and then they would known the true meaning of 'destabilization'.

Because at least it waz content and people weren't being killed everyday, by bombs being dropped out of the air, and war wasn't going on causing people to be orphaned or widowed. How about that for destabilization?

It's never been stable and its the liberals and democrats spewing out hate against their own country and the President. It's really sickening! Look at that idiot Jimmy Carter, He was one of our worse President's in history and he's out running his mouth all over the world about President Bush.

these people have faught and killed each other for thousands of years. The only stupid thing we have done is to think we can civilize them and stop their history of bloodshed. Anyway you always blame the "haves" and never the "have nots"
