i want to go punk or skater but all my friends think i am a poser and idk how 2 become either of those?

and i do not know at all how 2 do this like wht clothes or music i love rock but i just can't like think of any rock bands 2 like that my sister doesn't know. because my sister gets really pssed off when i like the same bands as her and idk how 2 act or wht 2 where or where 2 shop or anything else!

You can't become what you don't know.
You can only be you.
Be what you already like. If you don't know what you like, start looking. Do it because YOU like it...not because somebody told you to, or you HEARD that you should.

If you like mohawks...get one. If you like off-the-beaten-track music, listen to it. Be what you like...but take the time to find what you like. You'll be much happier being you than trying to keep up.

Truthfully? You sound like a poser. Just because you're so busy trying to figure out how to act, what to listen to, what to wear. Wear whatever the hell you want! If you feel like showing up at school (I assume you're still in school) with a carpet wrapped around you and a traffic cone on your head, do it! Ignore the weird looks you get, because what does it matter what anyone else thinks? Act how you want- don't let other's opinions intimidate you. I suggest you ask yourself what you're willing to do on impulse- would you, for instance, yell Gynecologist at the top of your lungs in a crowded cafeteria, or is it too embarassing? I'm not saying do that, but if you want to do something- anything- don't stop to think what affect it will have on people's opinion of you. If you like the same bands as your sister, listen to them! If you think they're crap, tell her. Either way, just do what you want. I've got a little sis, and she's got the opposite taste in music as me, but she'll never tell me that she dislikes any of my music, and I wish she would just say what she thinks.

So basically, calm down, stop thinking about what other people expect from you, figure out who you want to be, and be it.

u know what just be urself thats a lot easier in the end.if u want to dress punk well get inspired by ur favorite bands and celebs.make ur own pesonal syle that ud be edgy and original.u can dress punk and skater at the same time.just choose some pieces and make them work for u.and u can always get a edgy emo haircut with razor ends,thats cool too.and u can shop at hot topic for some great clothes.but bottom line be urself make ur own style and ull learn that ur style is way better than ur sisters.plus who is she to tell u what to like good luck
