many moons ago, a relative of mine attempted suicide by od-ing on tylenol.

She had massive internal bleeding and stomach pain...but it took 2 weeks for her liver and kidneys to go bezerk from the toxicity.

It took a loong time, but she eventually got well. Most people think that since tylenol is gentle, it wont hurt you...but that's all negated when you od on it...

It's worse than oding on something else, because tylenol slowly kills you....

Tylenol doesn't usually cause GI upset or bleeding and you can actually take up to about 4000 mg of Tylenol per day safely whereas ibuprofen and aspirin do tend to cause GI upset this way. The blood is a worrisome thing though...was it a lot of red blood? Or was it dark and old looking? You need to go to your doc to rule out anything serious but it is likely that you have an internal hemorrhoid that was exacerbated by a bout of constipation. Go see your doc to make sure but I would suggest adding more fiber to your diet. If this blood was accompanied by diarrhea or if you have frequent diarrhea I would be a bit more concerned. Blood in your stool...more than just a little on the tissue...is something to be concerned with.

Blood in your stool after taking 7 tylenol pills all at the same time? Most definitely that must have caused this. Blood in your bowelmovement is very serious. See a doctor asap!!!

yes it is possible, if you read a Tylenol bottle very carefully it will tell you they would rather you not take their product if your not going to take it as it is suggested because it is really bad for your liver if you take it any other way.......i dont know about the blood, but if you have really dark colored stool that is a problem, that means you are bleeding before you are digesting, which is the worst.....still contact a doctor and i hope all is well

Unlikely. Too much tylenol over time can cause liver damage though.
Unless you were due to start your period, I would encourage you to see your doctor. Bleeding from the bowel is a serious problem.

well it could have cause it indirectly, Tylenol causes constipation and can cause hard stool, if you had a bowl movement and it was too hard it could have ripped your skin, you should see a doctor just to make sure, blood in the stool can be very serious.

Was it red blood or black like tar?

If it was red blood, more than likely, you just tore yourself while having the BM. If it was black like tar or looked like coffee grounds, you NEED to see a doctor ASAP - that means you are bleeding somewhere in your digestive tract. (somewhere between your mouth and anus.)

Tylenol ODs mostly screw with your liver - do you look a little yellowish, especially in the whites of your eyes?

Next time, stick to the recommended dose, okay?

well for one thing that many tylenol at once could do serious damage to your stomach. it may have caused the bleeding but going to a doctor right away to see about this bleeding is an ablsolute must right now.

tylenol is metabolized in your liver and the toxic level is 7 pills in one day , perhaps that could of been a reason for blood in your stool , but there are other possibilties, diverticulitits, hemroids, etc. you need to cool it on the tylenol that will slowly kill you, please see a doctor, plus taking all that tylenol will constipate you as well. please seek help with your physician, blood in your stool is nothing to play around with..... not to scare you it may be hemroids , but be careful!!!!!!!!!
