I think that I might be pregnant but I have 3 days to wait still before I expect my period. Is it bad to wear a tampon throughout the day just in case I do get my period if I am pregnant?

I wouldn't recommend it pregnant or not, why would you want to? Wear a panty liner for just in case.

It is not safe to use a tampon if you do not have to. If you think you are pregnant but are not sure then wear a pantie liner. This is your safest bet. Tampons are associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome. The use of tampons when not needed increases your risk of TSS. Also they say that when you are pregnant you have a discharge. Using a tampon and having a discharge is bad. The reason being that the tampon keeps the discharge fluid in the vagina and therefore can lead to an infection. Like I said before use a pantie liner until you start your period. GOOD LUCK. I hope this helps.

It's not safe to wear tampons while being pregnant, but if it is for a short time it will most likely not harm the fetus. I would note recommend wearing a tampon though prior to a period. The shorter amount of time that you wear a tampon is better because of Toxic Shock Syndrome.

If you think that you might be pregnant don't worry about wearing a tampon why not take a test and find out if your pregnant.

I am not going to say you should not be wearing tampons before your period starts as this is not a good thing. but to answer your question I would not think so as the tampon is in your Virgina not your uterus but I would not use a tampon. Good luck

TSS is so rare these days that you should be fine wearing a tampon at any time. I just don't understand why you're choosing to wear one if you aren't having a period.

You shouldn't be wearing a tampon throughout the day anyway due to the risk of TSS.

yes i don't know how you wear a tampon without being on your period anyways its dry and i would think that would be uncomfortable use a panti liner or pad you shouldn't be wearing a tampon until your period actually arrives and you start bleeding anyways!

you might want to stick to just a pad, I don't think it will be terrible if you do use a tampon, but if you think you are then go ahead a wear a pad, also try taking an early HPT then you'll know! Good Luck!

No, you cannot wear tampons while pregnant. It can introduce bacteria that can harm the embryo/fetus.

Wear pantiliners.

you aren't supposed to wear tampons except while on your period anyway...baby or not.

I spotted before I knew I was pregant and wore a tampon. I have a happy healthy three year old daughter, so I would have to say go ahead. As stated in an answer above mine, the tampon and the fetus won't come into contact. Nothing you insert into your vagina at this point (short of a fire cracker or stick of dynomite) is going to hurt the baby.
