Alibaba,

I couldn't agree more.
I stay away from the Religion section
as it is a very confused one.
Somehow, the Philosophy is all
encompassing and you have the
best minds, again, my opinion.

Another section you might check
which has an imaginative group is
the Myth and Mythology and Polls & Surveys.
They're a great bunch.

But, this is my very favourite!
Enjoy!

If a person's brain is already shut down by blind acceptance of religious dogma, true philosophical thought is impossible. However, I do believe in God, and I have a religion, but I enjoy considering all ideas and discussing them with fellow truth seekers.

The definition of something worthwhile is in the fact that it requires serious thought on our part. The world would be a much better place if people did more thinking.

I think this is because philosophy section has approximately 75% less Jesus and Mohamed freaks. Whose only answer to every question is "Praise Jesus" or "Praise Allah" respectively.

thats because philosophy does not discriminate.
and also, because now most of the questions are about the war, etc. but i'm really glad that you've discovered this, its actually my favorite place to answer/ask questions. :)

maybe it's cause, with the religion/ spirituality section, everything is black or white. everyone feels like they are right or wrong. with philosophy, it is more about opinion and all is welcome
