Well you have to look at Bush's actions to understand.
- Dec. 2001 Bush removed the USA from the anti-ballistic missile treaty. (those are long range nuclear missiles)
- He then states the countries on his axis of evil
- He then invades one of them.. Iraq ignoring world and UN recommendations to let sanctions and inspectors play their course just for 6 more months.
I will stop there. Just that should give you an idea of why they see Bush as a threat. He basically has proven that he will ignore the world and attack a country that is no threat meanwhile creating a nuclear arsenal that will have long range ability.
Now take a look at Iran:
- Iran has no history of being the aggressor in any military conflict.
- Iran is a member of the N-NPT which gives them the right to enrich unranium for energy purposes.
- Iran has NOT stated, like N.Korea has, that they intend to develop any nuclear weapons.
- Inspectors are allowed to inspect any area that is of concern in Iran because of their N-NPT membership.
- Iran has a history of being willing to have talks, once again unlike N.Korea who will cut talks off when things don't go their way.
- Iran has stated repeatedly they are willing to negotiate this. They have stated they would exchange enriching uranium for some sort of help with energy development.
Don't get me wrong. I don't want Iran to have nuclear weapons either but you ask why the US is viewed as a bigger threat to peace.

America is the leader of the Free World. Leadership is not a popularity contest despite what opponents of our leaders will tell you. Certain politicians in America used to run polls daily, to see which way the wind was blowing, so they could stay popular, but this is not true leadership.
Public opinion is shaded or biased by what is read in the mainstream media. Advertisers and marketers have known this for decades, if you are old enough you might remember the Burma Shave signs on the sides of the highways. Politicians picked up on this early in the last century with the BIG LIE, or PROPAGANDA. The big lie was used by the Nazis during WWII and it has become a popular method in US politics in the early 90's to spread falsehoods about the political enemy. There is a concerted effort in America and other parts of the world to denigrate America and its leaders in the hopes of creating dissension along the lines of what happened during the Vietnam War. It is essentially led by a group of American pacifists and the mainstream media which has a decided socialist bias have picked up the chant as well. In other words, if the world views America as a threat to peace it is the result of socialist PROPAGANDA.
If you want a specific answer, keep changing the question and ask again, at some point you will get the answer you seek. This is the key to marketing and polls. The day before the Guardian article that stated US was a threat to peace, there was another article that stated the result of the poll was the Iraq war is seen as biggest threat to peace. If you consider the physical aspects of a war, it would certainly be considered a threat to peace. I would guess that the first article did not accomplish the result the propagandists desired so the next day they came back with another article.
America and the World will fall for and believe whatever they are told often enough. Why do you think Hezbollah and Palestinians expend so many dollars on faking news and photographs, to tell the BIG LIE and bias opinions.
I guess we should be spending some of our tax dollars on our own propaganda. It would be nice if the media in the USA would help a bit like they help the pacifist/socialist movement, but unlike Iran who is closing down free speech, America has to let the media runoff at the mouth even when they know they are telling lies. CNN, CBS, NYT, AP, Reuters.

Do the math.
How many countries has the US invaded in the last 100 years. The last 50. The last 5. How man has Iran invaded during each period.
How many civilian casualties has the US caused in other countries in the last decade, or since the current US president took office. How many civilian casualties has Iran caused in other countries in the past decade, or since their current president took office.
Note, I haven't looked any of these statistics. But they would go a long way towards helping you make an objective determination of which country is a bigger threat to peace.

No lanes, no mistake.
I’m European and I can confirm that we had to answer to this poll a few months ago (well before Lebanon/Israel war), the question was :
“Which country do you consider as a threat for the peace in the world”
and I confirm that the first answer of people in the world was : USA.

You are mistaken. The world views Iran as the bigger threat due to their sponsoring of terrorism, efforts to get nuclear weapons, and insane/unpredictable leaders.

Look into your past and the future will unravel, like a series of steps before your very eyes and you will stop asking such question, and will be asking why? why is our government like this and what can we do to stop this.
