it was boring when they were dominating the game...now we have new up and coming players and some are knockout looking too like maria and nicole so i say no..but it will be more exciting when the sisters get back in form but i dont see them dominating like they used to

Just a little correction, the Williams sisters are still playing , but have been dealing with a series of injuries and other distractions. I do not think we have heard the last of them. I just saw Serena play a few weeks ago and she is a bit rusty , but is still dangerous. If you are a tennis fan you have to take notice of the number of players who can win major titles . The depth one-50 has never been this good. Sure the injury bug has bitten the women hard, but that is sports, especially one as taxing on the body as professional tennis. So I do not feel that women's tennis is boring in the least in fact I think it is the best group of players I have seen.

I think tennis is more exciting without the Wlliams sisters, don't get me wrong, i think they are great players, but when they aren't playing on the women's side its fair game for every woman in the top 10. Without the Williams Sisters playing, there have been numerous breakthroughs from todays stars, Sharapova, Henin Hardene, Clijsters. Kuznetsoa, Myskina, all won grand slams when the williams were "injured".Even veterans Lindsay Davenport and Martina Hingis have moved into the top 20. Wihout the Williams sisters, the WTA has become even more exciting.

For me it seems to be more exciting when the Williams sisters are not playing because not the gates are open for more people to play. They were good but no Federras.
