She has left for college...I just set up my ID, but can't understand well enough to get online :-(

go to TOOLS , then INTERNET OPTIONS on the GENERAL page you have an option for LANGUAGES, select English et voila as the french would say! BTW Anglais is the language you want to pick lol.

I'm thinking your talking about either Msn messenger or Yahoo messenger. Uninstall it, go to your respective messenger download website (google it) and just download the "English" version. That's the version right there for download on the mainpage, no need to look into the countries and different languages and stuff. That should do it. Otherwise, learn french.

you could try uninstalling it.. then reinstalling it and making sure its in english?..there is also a language section on your computer where you change your default language.. it could be set to french... and thats why ims are in french

Lol, that's strange. So french is not her mother tongue but she prefers it. You could just leave it like that, if she is more comfortable with it - do you have some aim in changing it?
