What's the best way to avoid or get rid of razor burn? I shave atleast every other day if not everyday. I don't get the burns on my legs but I do get it in the pubic area. I've tried warm water, hot water, shaving cream and lotion.
What can I do?

Speaking as a man who used to suffer HORRIBLE razor burn on my face, I can suggest what worked for me (I learned it in the Army).

When you rinse, rinse off with COLD water. Not icy, but cold. No need to pop a nipple over it. Cooler water prevents the burn. Of course, shaving every day SUCKS, and will still cause some irritation. Try a lotion with Aloe Vera in it, some shaving creams come with Aloe in them already. Try one of those.

And good luck. Gotta love a woman who doesnt want her man to get all stubbled when he's down doing his oral thing.

Lots of good suggestions already... I'll add a couple:

* Always use a good, clean, sharp razor.
* Be very very gentle when you shave. Small, slow strokes.
* Give your skin time to heal. I know, hard to do in the summer, but do your best. It's sensitive down there!

I got razor burn when I used the disposable kind. I bought a Venus razor and I have not had razor burn since! I think all you need to do is test out different razors.

Its probably because you are shaving against the hair, shave in the direction of the hair.

Hi. Why don't you try Conditoner...it doesnt' matter what kind. But you should really try that. I used to have the same problem...but my friend told me to use just regular hair conditoner and that would probably help...it helped me! Have a great day.
