I’m looking for a dialup accelerator that works well and is free or not very much because high speed Internet is not available in my area.

Don't try it, even if its free, there is hardly any difference at all. Would risk a chance of installing spyware or even a virus. These accelerators are pretty much junk. If you have dsl or cable it might help out a little.

Then next best thing is DSL rather then just plane dial up...DSL is thru the phone also

i have found there is no noticeable difference. I recommend you do not use one.
