That really depends on you. Do you might that he chats with other girls? he can't have sex and for a lot of people that is actual cheating. Talking isn't cheating.
You might want to find out what he is chatting about. Is there something he isn't getting from you in the form of intellectual conversation. Or is it a sexual fetish he can't share with you? These are the question you need to ask.

Whether he's cheating when he chats online is up to the two of you to decide. You need to negotiate the "deal" that you have. The problem is, as you see from the answers so far, what is cheating to one is not cheating to another. The two of you need to decide that--and a whole host of things in addition.

Just because he's having conversations online with people doesn't mean he's cheating unless you suspect that he's secretly meeting these people offline without you being aware of it.
It all depends on the kind of "convos" he's having. There is a difference between friendly chat, and flirty sexual chat. Check up on him when he's doing it. If it makes you uncomfortable speak up and let him know because if he knew it bothered you he'd stop doing it.
Guys aren't mind readers ya know.

It depends. If it's girl's just as friends on line or flirting . Than it is cheating. But if it's just friends that's not . But if you dont like it . You should talk to him and tell him ,how you feel.

If him chatting online is outside of your "boundaries", and/or it is taking something away from your relationship with him...ergo it is cheating you out of something...
including his time, trust, fairness, etc...
then, yes, it can be considered "cheating".
I want to know why you have not made your boundaries CLEAR to him. Don't be afraid to show your ire, when you are uncomfortable with his behavior. IF you lose this battle, give him a taste of his own medicine...works every time!

it's possible. but he could be totally honest and faithful to you too. time will tell. In the meantime ask him what he's talking about, go up & talk to him while he is chatting...if he gets defensive in any of those kinds of situations its a pretty good sign that he is. but he could be like me and just embarrassed about what he is chatting about.

well if hes calling other girls babe and stuff like that then yeah i would say so but i mean if hes just talking to them then its harmless you have to trust your man. And if hes talking to a guy well then you really shouldnt have to worry unless.....(well.. you no)
