It depends on the person and their association with others I think .If they are out going and have friends then I think a guy can move on in the same any a woman can, but it also depends on the conditions of the break up , I mean in the case of a cheating spouse the one that has been cheated on can find it difficult because the have othe feelings to deal with such as anger grief and depression . the insecurity is just one symptom that is left after a bust up . I think that the major hurdle is "trust" is he or she looking to use me am I going to have him or her do what my last partner has done to me . and then Am I just not going to meet anyone who wants me whole heartedly. No I don't think its harder for either sex Its just hard all round I believe.

i think it depends on the person. I have been divorced for 4 1/2 years and i have alot more insecurities than my current BF who has been divorced a year.

Personally no, I think its equally hard on both sexes. In the subject of women, many have kids when they divorce, its difficult to go from a two parent household, everyone suffers, but women usually get the blunt of child rearing, so she sometimes feels insecure. The husband, has grown use to the company of his wife, someone to talk to, cook his meals, do his laundry etc, & when thats taken away from him, he feels insecure. No doubt about it its hard on both the husband & the wife....

I don't think that it's harder for guys than for women; I tend to feel that it depends on the person, not on the gender. Some people have much easier time putting their life in order than others.

I'm not sure which one has a harder time, I think it depends on each and every person and their situation. Every case is different and every person is different.
