Hello. I'm 15 years old, and the other day, I tried to have sex with this guy. It hurt like heck, and we were intereupted, so he didn't get to go all the way in, but I don't know if he would have been able to. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of extra room in there. I am wondering if a lot of pain is normal, and if he would have been able to get in had he kept going. I'm also wondering if it gets better after the first time, because that serioulsy hurt so bad, i don't wanna if it's going to feel like that all the time. Help would be great.

Okay well I hope you read this because it's fairly far down the answers but here's what it could be:

- First off, your age has very little to do with it, if you've hit puberty and your body's developped, it should be ok.

- Their is a thin film of skin with one or many holes in it which covers the inside of your vagina called the hymen. You are born with this film and chances are it is still intact (though stretching from gymnastics, using tampons or horse-riding can rip it). If it is, the first time you have sex, because the holes are only big enough to let through menstruation, it will rip. This can cause a sharp pain, but the amount of pain it causes changes from woman to woman and is normally not long lasting. Bleeding can also be caused, did you notice any blood?

That solution is the most likely to everybody, however you mention he didn't go all the way in and you don't think he would have been -able- to go all the way in. Unless he is built like a horse chances are your vagina can stretch enough for him to fit inside you, let me add, without it hurting. If you are experiencing pain, it could be related to stress. If you are nervous, or even think that it's going to hurt and dread it, your muscles will tense up. Around your vagina are a series of muscles that will also tense up, causing your vagina to stay tight, it may feel like it is nearly closed. This is what I believe is happening to you. No matter how hard he tries or how lubed his penis is, chances are he won't be able to get far and it will just hurt.

My girlfriend has recently been having this probleme, we were having sex daily for 2 months and after having a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) she has started to get tense and tight just before the penetration, which just leads to pain.

To solve this, you have to make sure you are perfectly sure you are ready to have sex, you have to make sure you are perfectly okay with the idea of it, and you have to be calm.

Possible ways around this are taking your time, going longer with foreplay to try and mask the fear with envy, possibly even blindfold yourself in a playful way so that you don't know when he's going to penetrate you (though he musn't do it ruffly). It has also been suggested to drink a soothing drink, and make sure that you are not too tired.

If any of those do not help, it's probably worth talking to your boyfriend and working out what is making you tense and possibly waitting a bit until you feel you are perfectly ready.

There is a membrane called the hymen that stretches across the opening. Whern you have sex for the first time, it gets torn, so wthere will be some pain and bleeding.

personally, at 15 you are too young to be having sex.

Please wait until you are a bit more mature and your boyfriend is a lot less horny. What's the big hurry to have sex now?

Please talk to your mother, aunt, sister or someone you can have eye contact with to get ALL the answers you need, like how do I avoid STD's (sexually transmitted diseases). You WERE a virgin, I guess, and yes it hurts the first time and it sounds like you had a partner that didn't know much either!! Sex does get better after the first time and when you are doing it for the right reasons. Pick a better place to have sex, when you are older!!

Talk to a physician they have free help info 1-800 numbers in most cities. I suggest you speak up and communicate to your partner. Stop the hurt, how much fun can that be? P>S you are too young to be having sex anyway!

it will hurt like that for quite a while.... it would be best to wait until you are older and your body is more developed inside there... 19 or 20 would be a much better age to engage in intercourse... for now stick with kissing and hugging.

just giving you a little input from an older point of view, first of all for your first time it is going to hurt, try some k-y jelly , use protection!!!!!!!!! a condom!!!!!!!!! for the first few times you will be sore until he reaches the hymen. once that is broken, you will bleed , so don't panic, please discuss this with someone close to you, an older adult, sister, someone you can trust, because their are risks of pregnancy, disease, and so forth.. but it will get easier after further practice. please use safe sex....
